Primarily self-taught in the arena of video editing and motion graphics. If I don’t know how to do something, I’ll figure it out in a few minutes, and I would say that’s the approach I take to most tasks. Not knowing how to do something should never be a barrier, it’s an invitation to learn.
Let’s drum up excitement.
The organization really wanted us to have a video that invited people visiting our website or YouTube channel to learn more about what it is we do. I put together this short, lively video.
Give more information.
Of course we wanted to provide more information about what our organization does, so we took segments from various other video projects I worked on or provided direction and combined them into a slightly longer, more informative video.
Encourage engagement.
This short clip was created to generate excitement about apprenticeships and the informational forums we would be hosting. We really wanted to keep it upbeat, providing a preview of what employers and organizations may learn, and it really worked, as we filled each venue.
Bring it In-House.
When we did Annual Report videos in the past, they were contracted out to a production company, where my colleagues and I would provide direction and feedback. This one was brought in-house so we could better align it to our vision and the printed Annual Report. I handled all video editing and motion graphics, and the final product was well-received by our Executive Director and Board.
